Healthy Lifestyle

Today, everyone knows that to be healthy we should lead a healthy lifestyle. But at times, we get confused about what is healthy lifestyle. The way we are living is our lifestyle. Now, how can we make it healthy? People in our society can be categorized like bachelors/single women, married men, married working women, homemakers etc. who may need to think to bring some changes in their lifestyle. Working bachelors can be either staying at home with their family( parents and siblings) or have to shift to other city and are staying with friends or in hostel/ PG.

Healthy lifestyle broadly can be classified in four steps:
1) Eat healthy
2) Exercise regularly
3) Reduce stress
4) Drink plenty of water

The key is to be consistent. Whatever changes you bring to your lifestyle should be exercised regularly. It may seem difficult at first, but please make a start. Like first you may be able to do it twice or thrice in a week. Let it be. We cannot expect to change our lives in a day. If it is twice a week also it is a good start. Gradually increase the frequency.

Now let us talk about healthy food. People staying at home can take fresh cooked breakfast and can take homemade lunch at work. But those staying out of hometown need to work on it. For breakfast they can go for milk, cereal/ vegetable sandwiches or some instant mixes like of idli/ poha/ upma/ oats etc. but remember, never miss your breakfast. For lunch they can go for lunchbox services through someone who cooks homelike food with less oil. Instead of fried puris opt for chapatis and vegetable or daal chawal( rice and lentils). Salad and buttermilk can be add-ons. Those eating out or have to go out for official work in field can opt for grilled vegetables/ subway options/ fruits etc. Dinner can be similar to lunch. For snacks between meals opt for roasted chana or peanuts/ dry fruits/ fruits but in moderation. Instead of regular tea/coffee can go for green tea or black tea/coffee (without milk and sugar). I know it is difficult to switch over but not  impossible, start with atleast once in a day and then gradually increase once you develop the taste.

Now let us talk about exercising. Main reasons of not doing exercise may be like No time, when to do, What to do? etc. Start with ten minutes. Can start with brisk walking anytime of the day but not just after meals. Or can search for 10 minutes aerobic exercise videos online, download and can play on your mobile or TV and can exercise along with it. Gradually increase your time to atleast half an hour. The more the better.

Our third point is stress. Mostly people will say we do not have any stress as such. But, dear, something or the other goes on in our mind. May be our workplace problems or problems at home. May be we are not showing in our actions but it is still there in our subconscious mind. So for that we can do pranayam exercises and meditation. Question comes how to do? Do not club it with your exercise but do them separately at different times. As, if we club, it becomes difficult to take out that much time on daily basis altogether. There are lot of online videos on them which you can follow. For meditation, one can do yog nidra which may vary from 15 minutes to one hour. Not necessary to do them daily. Can do them once or twice a week. It is enough.

Fourth, is drinking plenty of water. This is the most easy one. Can carry a water bottle and can keep yourself hydrated all the time. This will help in cleansing your system. Drink 3-4 litres but not less than 2 litres of water daily.

Little changes can make big differences. So start today and feel the change.

In last I would end with
" If an egg is broken by outside force, life ends. If broken by inside force, life begins. Great things always begin from inside."
                               ALL THE BEST

Tips for Hair Care

Eat healt hy and consume right proteins – Hair health has to do with what’s under the scalp, since it eventually reflects on what’s above! The ‘live’ part of the hair is housed in the follicle, and just like the other organs, derives nutrition from food and the bloodstream. So if you find yourself nutrient-deficient, you’ll find your hair instantly looking lackluster, dull and thin. Protein is the building block of healthy hair, since it holds each strand together! Hair itself is made up of a protein called keratin, tends to be stripped off it with everyday styling, pollution and stress. Increase the protein levels in your diet by consuming a diet rich in dairy – cottage cheese, other unprocessed cheeses, ghee, yogurt – as well as eggs, poultry, legumes, lentils, green beans and limited amounts of soy. Eat and drink healthy. Keep yourself hydrated. The hair shaft comprises of one quarter of water, so drink atleast 8 glasses of water in a day. Eat a healthy diet of raw fruits a...
