Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Radiance Review

Whenever I used to go for an outing or a party, my make-up used to be patchy. Face used to be dull and dry. I thought it is because I have normal to dry skin. I use to see patches on my face and at times at the end, there would be no makeup, it used to vanish resulting in a very dull look. Then, I tried a foundation primer from Smashbox.

“Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Radiance”

Primer creates an extra layer between our skin and makeup. It is used to help makeup last longer, smooth the skin surface, and even out the skin tone.
I applied this primer after my CTM regime i.e. cleansing, toning and moisturizing. It has an orange tint in it, of which I was a little afraid of first, but when applied, was easily spreadable and there was no orange tint on the face. Only a pea size amount was enough for face and neck. Leave it for a few minutes to dry completely. It feels velvety smooth and evens the skin tone. Then apply foundation and rest of makeup.
There were some points which I noticed after its use:
·      It prepared my skin for makeup.
·      The foundation glides smoothly and does not settle into creases or wrinkles.
·      It contains some glimmering particles which gave extra radiance. My face was glowing.
·      The makeup was long lasting and intact till the end.
·      It kept my skin hydrated.
·      Prevented makeup creasing.
·      It gave amazing look in photographs.
I have tried quite a few face primers before, but this one works the best at minimizing pores, smoothing imperfections and making tired skin look glowing. It also covers age spots and leaves a beautiful glow. It is really amazing product. It can be applied alone or with makeup. This is a lovely primer and would strongly recommend a must have in your makeup kits.

Do let me know of your experiences with this product.

Tips for Hair Care

Eat healt hy and consume right proteins – Hair health has to do with what’s under the scalp, since it eventually reflects on what’s above! The ‘live’ part of the hair is housed in the follicle, and just like the other organs, derives nutrition from food and the bloodstream. So if you find yourself nutrient-deficient, you’ll find your hair instantly looking lackluster, dull and thin. Protein is the building block of healthy hair, since it holds each strand together! Hair itself is made up of a protein called keratin, tends to be stripped off it with everyday styling, pollution and stress. Increase the protein levels in your diet by consuming a diet rich in dairy – cottage cheese, other unprocessed cheeses, ghee, yogurt – as well as eggs, poultry, legumes, lentils, green beans and limited amounts of soy. Eat and drink healthy. Keep yourself hydrated. The hair shaft comprises of one quarter of water, so drink atleast 8 glasses of water in a day. Eat a healthy diet of raw fruits a...

Managing Diabetes

Diabetes affects almost all parts of the body. It leads to the starvation of cells throughout the body. In addition, the blood that contains high levels of sugar goes to all parts of the body, so any part that is sensitive to high blood sugar is affected. High blood sugar can result in damage to the large and small blood vessels, nerve damage and can increase risk of infections. In the long run, not controlling diabetes can damage important organs, like the heart, kidneys, eyes and nerves which can lead to heart disease,   brain stroke, gangrene and leg amputation, eye bleeding, blindness, kidney damage, difficulty in bladder control, infections like pneumonia, skin infections etc. It is necessary to keep your blood sugar in control. Family support is crucial for managing chronic conditions but it is often overlooked.  Diabetic needs support from family members, mostly from their spouses and children. Their family members should encourage  and motivate them to fig...

Healthy Lifestyle

Today, everyone knows that to be healthy we should lead a healthy lifestyle. But at times, we get confused about what is healthy lifestyle. The way we are living is our lifestyle. Now, how can we make it healthy? People in our society can be categorized like bachelors/single women, married men, married working women, homemakers etc. who may need to think to bring some changes in their lifestyle. Working bachelors can be either staying at home with their family( parents and siblings) or have to shift to other city and are staying with friends or in hostel/ PG. Healthy lifestyle broadly can be classified in four steps: 1) Eat healthy 2) Exercise regularly 3) Reduce stress 4) Drink plenty of water The key is to be consistent. Whatever changes you bring to your lifestyle should be exercised regularly. It may seem difficult at first, but please make a start. Like first you may be able to do it twice or thrice in a week. Let it be. We cannot expect to change our lives in a day. ...
