Packing Hacks

Festive season has started, which means a few holidays and many of us are set to go for vacation. Whenever a trip is planed, we are excited for the fun and enjoyment waiting for us. The most hated part of the trip is I guess, the packing part. So, to ease you a little, I would suggest some of my packing hacks which may be useful for you too. Though every traveler has different methods to bring what they need.
·         Decide how many pairs of clothes you need. Today, we have lot of options to mix and match. Keeping that in mind, decide which clothes you can take. Place them on your bed. Keep one set extra, in case of emergency.
·         Use packing cubes to be more organized. Can keep your lowers in one, t-shirts and uppers in another. Undergarments in one. This way all clothing will be easily accessible.

  •   Instead of folding your clothes, roll them, it takes less space and you can place more clothes.
·         Pack a rolled up belt in the collar of your shirt to keep it intact.
·         If taking shoes, wear them. If not, then can fill them with socks and other tiny items. Use shower caps to keep your shoes, so that they do not make other things dirty.
·          Purchase small packs of toiletries or buy travel kits(having small bottles and containers) to fill your creams and lotions. To avoid spilling out of the bottles, wrap cling film on top before placing their caps. Can use contact lens containers to fill your creams.
·         Use small toiletry bags instead of one big toiletry bag. It becomes easy to place them in suitcases in less space. Like, in one bag can keep bath essentials, in one can keep your lotions and creams, in another your make-up items.

·         Take your sunglasses case to keep phone cable and other cords. This helps them not to entangle.
·         For jewelry- Keep small items in pill containers. If taking delicate chains or necklaces, put them through a straw. If taking big earings, place them in button holes and can place them in zip locks.

·         Do not forget your medical kit with a few band aids some common medicines that you may or may not need.
·         If you are keeping a hat, always stuff the crown with socks, scarves and other small items, and place it flat at the bottom.
·         The heavy things go near the wheels like shoes, toiletries etc. to balance the suitcase.
·         Take a bag for laundry, so that dirty clothes which will not be used can be separated to avoid bad smell. For this can use the bags which come along purses or a pillow cover will also be handy.
·         If possible, carry a backpack to keep your essentials handy. When you go for shopping, then too it is very useful. Keep an extra folding bag in your luggage, in case you shop more than expected. Keep reusable water bottle to keep yourself hydrated which fits in the backpack pocket.

Hope this article would help you pack lighter next time. If you like, then share it with your family and friends
